Designed by artist Jacques Majorelle, the garden gradually developed into a lush retreat filled with tropical plants, palms, bamboo groves, succulents, and striking cactus collections. Winding pathways invite you to explore at an easy pace while water features and shaded areas create a calm environment throughout the grounds.

At the heart of the garden, vivid Majorelle Blue buildings contrast beautifully with the surrounding greenery. The color, architecture, and carefully arranged planting have made the garden one of Marrakech’s most recognizable and photographed locations.

The site later became closely connected with Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé, who helped restore and preserve the garden. Their involvement added another important chapter to its artistic and cultural story.
